The Congress of South African Trade Unions in the North West has welcomed the appointment of Premiers by the ANC, NEC.

The new Premiers were announced Tuesday by the NEC. Cosatu Provincial Secretary Solly Phetoe said the union also welcomes the appointment of the new Premier in the North West.

Phetoe said we congratulate everybody and the North West leadership congratulating him in his new deployment. We will work with him and the team that is going to be appointed in the executive council.

We will be wishing all those who are deployed to do their work and do to nothing which may lead to disappointment among our poor working class.

“We now expect them to deal with all challenges that we encountered during the election campaign, in particular the water crisis, job losses, and the exploitation of workers, especially those employed by government, and corruption that has made some of our poor communities not vote Phetoe added.
