The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa in KwaZulu Natal has congratulated the provincial department of Health in the province.

The provincial department came to the rescue of St Mary’s hospital by agreeing to release funds for the payment of workers salary increase.

Denosa Provincial Organiser Mandla Shabangu said these salary increases dates in April 2013 as agreed by between the hospital and labour.

Shabangu said the hospital is in remote area which means it service poor people and the nearby hospitals as well are over crowded so the closure of the hospital would have had devastating results.
