The African National Congress in the Western Cape has called on Premier Helen Zille to publicly apologise for abusing state resources.

ANC has accused the premier of using Spokesperson Zak Mbhele to speak on behalf of the DA on pure operational matters of that party.

ANC’s Cobus Grobler said the DA has blurred the lines between party and state in the Western Cape.

Grobler said the state officials have to adhere to certain codes of conduct, and this was outside of that.

Premier Helen Zille Spokesperson Zak Mbhele said the statement by the ANC in the province is totally baseless and uncalled for.

Mbhele said he did not act out of line as he is a member of the ruling party in the province.

He added that the ANC statement is entirely baseless.
