Mfuleni shooting leaves many injured

Mfuleni Police said five schoolboys between the ages of 11 and 19-years-old are recovering in hospital; this is after they were involved in a shooting incident in Kwazakhele Crescent in Wesbank. 

It is alleged that the boys were shot by a group of gang members on Wednesday evening.

Captain FC van Wyk said when officers arrived on scene they were informed by a witness that gunshots were heard from inside the premises. There were six victims between the ages of 11 and 49 years old running wounded.

“They were taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention.  An attempted murder case was opened for investigation.    No arrests have been made as yet.  Anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Kevin Kock on 082 777 6898 or 0860010111” said Van Wyk.
