An accident on the R102 in Verulam left a mother dead
and her two children seriously injured.
It is believed that a vehicle collided into the side of the vehicle of which the mother and her children were in.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Both said the two
vehicles had collided one into the side and the other one, a female ejected
from the vehicle in the sideline on the ground underneath one of the vehicle
she tragically died on scene due to severe injuries she had sustained.
“The two children had sustained serious injuries they
were treated on scene and then transported for further medical care.” Botha
added.
Meanwhile in another accident four people were left
seriously injured when a vehicle and a truck collided into each other on the N2
South near Stanger.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Both said a vehicle
collided into the back of the truck.
Botha added that there was four occupants in the
vehicle they all sustained serious injuries. They were tread on scene and
transported to a hospital in Ballito for further medical care
The exact details of the cause of the accidents will
remain the subject of a police investigation.
