The passing on of Co – Founder and former Managing Director of Bush Radio Zane Ibrahim yesterday has come as a shock to all that have worked with him.

Ibrahim was instrumental in the fight against apartheid and played a huge role in providing opportunities to young people.

The station’s current Managing Director Brenda Leonard applauded Ibrahim for his contribution in structuring the station and its organogram.

Leonard said if you look at Bush Radio today you will see a lot of young people and he was very passionate about the development of young people.

“With it’s training, through mentorship or just pushing them so that they can reach the full potential. I think that is the biggest legacy that he leaves behind, if you look at media today, whether it’s print, radio, or television you will find young people that came through Bush Radio through various programmes, projects that were envisaged by Zane and implemented at Bush Radio.” Leonard added.
