A man died after a shooting incident in Sandton

A man has been left in a critical condition following a shooting incident which happened on Wessel Road in Sandton this afternoon. 

It is alleged that he was shot in an attempted robbery. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said when paramedics arrived at the scene they found the man had died already.

She added that the exact details to the cause of the incident is not known at this stage.
