It is believed that the driver of
the taxi lost control and veered off the road.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha
said when they arrived there they found people scattered over a very large
area. Seventeen people were injured and
one female sustained very critical injuries.
Botha said all the injured were
stabilized on scene before they were transported to a local hospital for the
further medical care that they all required.
