The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has condemned the forceful removal of residents who occupied land at Lwandle.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said although they do not agree with unlawful occupation of land but the South African National Roads Agency Limited has to look at the human factor considering the weather.

Residents were forcefully evacuated by police as Sanral said the land was earmarked for construction of a road.

Christians said we can not have people treated in this way at this day and age and the ACDP asks all role players to get together and resolve the issue.
