The Democratic Alliance said in a
statement that it will petition President Jacob Zuma to reconsider draconian
health legislation.
DA MP of Health Wilmot James said while
the making of healthcare accessible to all especially poor South Africans is a
principle to which we wholeheartedly subscribe, the regulatory burden imposed
by this Act will paralyze services and hamper delivery of care.

Yaseen Carelse said these sections seek to give state more control over where
medical practitioners setup their practice.
