EFF welcomes ruling against Tlakula

The Economic Freedom Fighters said it was regrettable that the Electoral Court had to rule on an obvious matter pertaining to Independent Electoral Commission Chairperson Pansy Tlakula. 

On Wednesday the court ruled that Tlakula should be removed from her position as IEC Chairperson. 

EFF National Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Quintin Ndlozi said the dignity and confidence of the IEC needs to be restored.

“We welcome that as the vindication, having part of the collective that brought the attention of the court and we will make sure that she is impeached.

We hope that being the lawyer herself she will respect the ruling of the court and save parliament from having to discuss she must be removed and she will resign with immediate effect and allow IEC to remove out the shadow of doubt and indignity that she casts on the work of commission.” Ndlozi added.
