Western Cape MEC of Transport and
Public Works Donald Grant together with the Mayor of George Municipality
Charles Standers last week agreed that the George Integrated Public Transport
Network will continue.
This is after the chief negotiator
for the project was killed during the taxi violence.
MEC Grant said that through open
dialogue he trust that a successful roll-out of the project.
Ministerial Spokesperson Siphesihle
Dube said they collectively agreed that the
violence would be unacceptable to ensure that the system they worked for, for
years to establish does finally roll out.
