Netcare 911
paramedics responded to an incident in the Tongaat area last night whereby a
man was engulfed in flames.
It is believed
that the man was burning rubble while he was standing near a petrol container
when it exploded.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson
Chris Botha said the fuel container caught fire and exploded. The fuel then
spread over the man that was standing there and covered him entirely engulfing
him in flames.
“He had sustained
very critical injuries. Paramedics stabilised the man on scene and transported
him to a nearby Hospital Botha added.
