Over the weekend two suspects aged 46 and 50-years-old
were arrested after police seized two firearms, ammunition rounds and drugs
worth R11 000 in a house in Grassy Park.
Police also confiscated an undisclosed amount of
money.
Captain FC van Wyk said the arrests only happened
because community members were able to provide police with important
information.
“This operation was executed on Saturday evening at
approximately 17:20pm after police members received an information from the
public concerning the possible storage of firearms and drugs.
After opening the search warrant the members executed
the operation at an identified house,” Van Wyk added.
