Hawks arrest Table View sisters for possession of mandrax

Two sisters aged 31 and 50-years-old were arrested for being in possession of mandrax tablets in a flat in Table View. 

Police Spokesperson Andre Traut said the Hawks and Crime Intelligence’s Unit conducted a driven operation whereby mandrax tablets and R70 000 in cash was found hidden inside the flat. 

The sisters were arrested with mandrax tablets to the value of R2.8 million in their possession.

The police’s Andre Traut confirmed: “The two are set to make a court appearance in Cape Town soon.”
