Home Affairs: No negative impact on country of new regulations

The Department of Home Affairs said it has not received reasons that the new immigration regulations are affecting the tourism sector and economic development of the country negatively.

Home Affairs Director General Mkuseli Apleni said there are some challenges with the regulations which the department is sorting out. 

Apleni said we do recall that the minister has indicated that these laws are not cast and stone.

“If people come to us with valid reasons then we’ll look at it, evaluate them and then on that basis decide what will be the way forward.On the basis of a statement it is difficult to understand that Alpeni added.
