The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union in Limpopo has expressed its concern at the attempts to roll back the gains achieved by the working class by some South African Police Service officials and Traffic Department officials in the province.

Popcru Limpopo Secretary Hangwani Mashao said much still needs to be done to ensure the implementation of the transformation agendas set by South Africans through their government in consultation with labour.

“In the Police service there are no platforms where we can engage with the management as much as we request the meetings with them, they have not approved our request for the meeting. It makes it difficult to address member’s issues.

In the Traffic department you cannot meet with the management of the traffic department and political leadership to address very simple issues like members concern and grievances around transfers and other things," Mashao added.
