Two separate incidents this morning in
Khayelitsha and Strand has left a five-year-old boy dead and an eight-year-old
in a critical condition.
In the first incident a 5-year-old boy was
killed after a minibus taxi ran him over outside Nkazimlo Primary School.
In the second incident an eight-year old
boy was boy shot at ACJ Phakati Primary School in Lwandle.
Western Cape Emergency Services
Spokesperson Robert Daniels said an eight year old boy has been admitted to Helderberg Provincial Hospital this morning at 9am after being shot in his back.
“Reports suggests that the stray bullet
came from a shooting incident in the nearby location Daniels added.
