The Commission for Gender Equality is calling on South African’s on this Women’s Month to join hands and celebrate the country’s achievement and commitment to gender equality, while remaining vigilant of challenges that remain intractable.
CGE’s Spokesperson Javu Baloyi said they will embark on
public activities to raise awareness among women and girls regarding
reproductive health rights.
Baloyi said we will celebrate this month by looking at
the health rights for women and in remembrance of the women in 1966 who were
deprived of the things available as of recent.
“We call on society to join hands as we celebrate our
women of great achievements and strive to uplift our women in every sector
where there is a lack of opportunities for women in our country Baloyi added.
