City of Cape Town prepared for possible flooding

Cape Town Disaster Risk Management today said it has contingency measures in place, to deal with the cold front expected over the next few days. 

Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson Wilfred Solomon-Johannes said the City of Cape Town, also has an extensive flood risk reduction programme in place to minimize the impact on its residents.

Snowfall has also been forecasted in high-lying areas of the city. 

Solomon-Johannes said thus far there has been no areas affected in Capet Town and they are keeping an eye on all areas.
