The case against a 30-year-old man accused
of killing a 55-year-old man from Mossel Bay appeared in court
on Wednesday.
The man will remain in custody until his
next court appearance on Monday where he will formally apply for bail.
The victim Daniel Bekker was murdered in
his home in Heiderand over the weekend.
Captain Malcolm Pojie said Police members had to receive counselling after the
investigation. The suspect faces other possible charges as the victim's motorcycle
was thrown in the sea.
“Police members retrieved the
motorcycle shortly after the murder. The suspect will appear for a bail
application on Monday 11th of August Pojie added.
