Minister Malusi Gigaba visits the Free State

Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba on Friday visited the Pelonomi hospital as part of governments outreach programme. 

The Minister was also at the hospital to inspect the birth registration facilities and handed over birth certificates to mothers of new born babies. 

Minister Gigaba while briefing the media spoke about the three critical issues of the Department of Home Affairs.

Gigaba said stakeholder forums seek to involve communities on the governance processes within the Department of Home Affairs with a view to improving and accelerating quality service delivery.

“To date 264 stakeholder forums have been established to play a coordinating role Gigaba added.
