The arrested consist of two
captains, five warrant officers, two sergeants, twelve constables and an
administration clerk.
Lieutenant General Solomon Makgale
said eighteen criminal cases have been opened against the suspects.
Makgale said it is very
disappointing that the people involved in these crimes are our very own police
officers.
“It is important as we
professionalize and as we seek to transform the SAPS, we also deal with the
police officials who are involved in criminality” Makgale added.
