DA calls for Jiba’s removal

The Democratic Alliance has called for the removal of Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions Nomgcobo Jiba from the National Prosecuting Authority.

This follows Jiba’s conduct in the spy tapes saga.  DA says Jiba is not fit to hold the office that she occupies and she is not fit to be a prosecutor.

DA’s Samkelo Mgobozi said this comes after a judgement handed down by the Supreme Court of Appeal last week on the matter of President Jacob Zuma versus the DA relating to the spy tapes that stated her conduct was not worthy of the office of the NDPP.

“In addition, the Supreme Court of Appeal found that Jiba failed to preside in willing for affidavits or testimony and neglected to mention any relevant facts regarding this court application.” Mgobozi added.
