The Food and Allied Workers Union in the Eastern Cape said it is in support of the workers of Crickley and Twizza Bottling Company who have embarked on a protected strike over wages.

Fawu Provincial Secretary Luyanda Matuntuta said they call on the workers to ignore intimidations and propaganda spread by the employer.

“We demand that they should top up that 5.5% by 3% to make it 5.8% or make it 8% the company did not agree.

The other thing that we wanted was a 10% night shift allowance which was not bad.” Matuntuta added.
