KZN Durban accident leaves four injured

Four people were seriously injured after two vehicles collided on Grey Street near Leopold Street in Durban last night.

Paramedics and other services found that one of the patients were entrapped in the vehicle.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said Netcare 911’s rescue unit had to make use of the Jaws of Life to extricate the entrapped patient from the vehicle.

After treating the injured patients on scene they were transported to hospital for further medical care.

The traffic on Grey Street was affected following the accident.

“Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation Steinmann added.

Meanwhile a man has tragically lost his life after he was knocked over by a vehicle on the N3 in Sydenham, direction Pinetown.

Paramedics and other services found that the fast lane obstructed following the accident.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said after assessment it was found that the man has tragically died prior to paramedics arrival due to the extensive injuries the man had sustained.

“Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation Steinmann added.
