MEC Plato to hold consultation meeting with the community of Khayelitsha

Today the Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, Dan Plato, will host the Provincial Policing Needs and Priorities consultation process for the community of Khayelitsha.

During this meeting, the community will discuss and confirm the specific needs and priorities facing their communities with the MEC and police cluster.

Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said the meeting will be the 12th of its kind in the province and forms part of the engagement with the public regarding safety.

Botha added that the report complied in the meeting will be handed over to National Police Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko for his consideration when determining police resources for the province.
