One of the most wanted fugitives in the country was on Monday arrested by the National Investigating Unit.

39-year-old Mpho David Nkosi has been on the run for eleven months after he has been wanted for the murder of a Johannesburg forensic auditor Lawrence Moepi.

Another suspect was arrested soon after the murder in October last year. The two are expected to appear in the Johannesburg High Court on the 17th of November 2014.

General Solomon Makgale said the arrests is an indication of what can be achieved when police and community work together.

“The success is largely attributable to the hard work that the detectives on this case put in, but more importantly information that we receive from members of the public is on an on-going basis.” Makgale added.
