Pedestrian killed on N3 near Cedara

An accident on the N3 South near Cedara left one person dead. 

This is after he was hit by a car while trying to cross the highway.
 
The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said after examining the pedestrian paramedics found that he had tragically died on impact due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.

Botha said after that a heavy goods truck was hit in the rear by another truck when it slowed down towards the accident scene.

"The occupants from both trucks escaped uninjured Botha added.
