Police arrested three JCY gang members in Worcester

Worcester police arrested three Junior Cisko Yakee gang member after a lengthy investigation into a spate of murders in Worcester from January to August this year. 

Captain FC van Wyk said members from Operation Combat and the Tactical Response Team arrested a 37 year old man at his residence in on two murder charges, the one committed in March and the other in August.

Van Wyk added that both his brothers and the leader of the JCY gang were arrested earlier this year on murder charges and under the Prevention of Organized Crime Act.

“Another five JCY gangsters also linked to murders over the same period, are currently in Worcester and Robertson prisons and will be requisitioned to appear in court.” Van Wyk said.

The three are expected to appear in the local magistrate court on Monday.
