Two killed in Bapsfontein accident

ER24 paramedics rushed to an accident scene this morning after a bakkie, taxi and truck collided on the R50 in Bapsfontein near Johannesburg, leaving two men tragically losing their lives.

ER24 Spokesperson Luyanda Majija said the collision apparently occurred when taxi was attempting to overtake the bakkie when it collided with the truck.

Majija said the taxi driver was thrown from the taxi and died on the scene, while the bakkie driver burnt to death inside his vehicle.

Majija said the passengers sustained no serious injuries, but were in shock.

 “They were taken to hospital for observation Majija added.
