Two separate accidents leave two people dead and seven injured

An accident on the N3 Montrose this morning left two people dead and one person was left seriously injured. 

This is after a heavy goods vehicle overturned and landed on top of a light delivery vehicle.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said when paramedics arrived two men had already died due to the serious injuries that they sustained.

Steinmann said the driver of the heavy goods vehicle was left seriously injured and was transferred to hospital for further care.

In another accident late yesterday afternoon in Randburg left six people injured with one seriously injured. 

This is after a minibus overturned and crashed against a lamp post. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said one person was seriously injured and five other people sustained moderate injuries. All the injured were treated on scene and then transported to hospital.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
