Wellness Mobiles roll-out campaign continues in the WC

Western Cape MEC of Health Theuns Botha together with MEC of Social Development Albert Fritz on Thursday viewed the screening of learners at the St Thomas Primary School in Malmesbury. 

This is part of the Wellness Mobiles roll-out campaign happening across the province. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw said over the next ten weeks the West Coast Wellness Mobile will visit 28 schools in the area screening Grade R and 1 learner’s for things like vision, speech and hearing.

“This mobile will be running to different towns in the West Coast and screening Grade R and 1 learners the mobile screens about 40 000 per day.

The ministers were very impressed with services delivered and professionalism of the staff on board.” Rossouw added.
