Four people injured in KZN and Elandsfontein

An accident this morning on the R102 and Pheonix Highway in Mount Edgecombe in KwaZulu-Natal has left two people injured after two vehicle were involved in a head-on collision.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon their arrival on scene they found that two vehicles had collided head-on, resulting in two people sustaining serious injuries.

“One of the injured people were entrapped in a vehicle and services had to make use of the Jaws of Life to extricate the injured patient from the vehicle.” Steinmann added.

Meanwhile in another accident late last night a man and his son were injured during a shooting incident in Elandsfotein.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said they arrive on scene and found the man and a boy in a critical condition following the incident.
Steinmann added that the Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critical injured man and the son was treated on scene and rushed to hospital

Exact details to the cause of the incident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
