PAC welcomes court order for the suspension of SABC Chief Operating Officer

The Pan Africanist Congress has welcomed the court order for the suspension of SABC Chief Operating Officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng. 

The Western Cape High Court on Friday ruled that Motsoeneng should be charged within 14 days, this follows an application by the Democratic Alliance to challenge Motsoeneng's appointment. 

PAC Deputy President Sbusiso Xaba said it we are not confident that the SABC would institute the disciplinary proceedings against Motsoeneng.

Xaba said the PAC remains extremely frustrated by the fact that the disciplinary action will be conducted under the cloud in the SABC board.

Xaba said the board that is chaired by Ellen Tshabalala, who stands accused of the same qualification dishonesty.

“We welcome the court order Xaba added.
