Special task team to investigate Senzo Meyiwa’s killing

Gauteng MEC of Community Safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malubane early this morning visited the crime scene where Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed late last night. 

27-year-old Meyiwa was shot during a burglary at a house south of Johannesburg. 

Police have not made any arrests as yet however a reward of R150 000 has been made for any information that could lead to arrests for the murder. 

Spokesperson for MEC Nkosi-Malubane, Thapelo Moiloa said what I can confirm is that our police were at the scene of the crime.

MEC Nkosi Malobane has instructed the South African Police Services to work around the clock to try and find out who were behind this incident.

Moiloa said we proceeded to put together a special task team to look into this matter.

“We are calling on communities to do everything in their power to assist the Police in finding the perpetrators Moiloa added.
