Western Cape MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato will later today host the 19th Provincial Policing Needs and Priorities consultation process in Claremont.

MEC Plato has encouraged communities to use these meetings as an opportunity to raise their concerns regarding policing in their own communities.

Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said during these meetings the communities have a chance of engaging and discussing issues with CPF and SAPS structures about the needs of their communities.

Botha said when all of this is done a report will be complied for National Minister of Police Nkosinathi Nhleko for his consideration.
