Police investigates Andile Lili’s shooting

Western Cape police are probing a case of attempted murder after the controversial activist, Andile Lili was shot multiple times, while sitting on his vehicle outside his Khayelitsha home on Wednesday night.

Lili is believed to have been shot in the stomach four times.

Earlier today, Ses'khona People’s Rights Movement spokesperson Sithembele Majova has called for a swift arrests of the perpetrators.

Police's Frederick van Wyk said the circumstances surrounding an attempted murder of a 39-year-old male is being investigated

He also said that the victim was shot and wounded at around 10:10pm in Temba Mzibuko road in Makhaza.

The motive is unknown at this stage and no arrest has been made yet.
