The Opposition to Urban
Tolling Alliance says the e-toll system has failed to reach its
objectives.
Outa has been very vocal about
the system calling for it on numerous occasions to be scrapped.
The project which was
introduced a year ago has been labelled by Outa as irrational, unreasonable and
impractical.
Outa Chairman Wayne Duvenage
said our view is that there are too many incidents of failure of billing
errors, taxi industry is not tagged up and that 41 000 tags have not been
issued.
Duvenage said we start adding
up all the problems and you have to ask yourself is this the efficient way of
dealing with this financing.
