Police in Folweni near KwaZulu Natal have launched a manhunt after a 15 year old girl was found hanging from a tree, under a bridge in Folweni.
It is alleged that Nokukhanya Zama was
reported missing on January 11th. She was last seen travelling by a taxi on her
way to church in Kwa-Makhutha.
Major Thulani Zwane said when the girl was
identified as the same girl who was reported as missing at Folweni police
station. The motive for the murder is still unknown and we are still
investigating this matter.
Zwane said there are allegations that she
was raped before she was killed however we are still waiting for the
post-mortem results to determine whether she was raped or not.
