A man arrested for 112 units of heroin in Manenberg

Manenberg police arrested a man for being in possession of heroin. The arrest was part of the police’s crime prevention operations in the area. 

Captain FC van Wyk said during the operation police noticed a suspicious vehicle in Plantation Road and they decided to pull the vehicle over. 

Van Wyk added that members followed the vehicle and decided to pull it off. After the vehicle was searched and 112 units of heroin were found to the value of R 4 000 and R1 140 cash.

“The heroine and cash were confiscated and a 44-year-old man was arrested for possession of heroin.” Van Wyk said.

The suspect is expected to appear in court once he has been charged.
