KwaZulu Natal police are seeking the public’s assistance in fraud case involving a company called Queen Estate Properties.

Colonel Jay Nicker said a man was scammed by the company after he saw an advert for accommodation in Cape Town during October 2014.

Naicker said payment was made by the victim to the company via the internet to secure his accommodation. It seems like he made arrangements for going down to Cape Town during the December holidays and when he finally arrived at the place where he had booked the accommodation, they realised that the premises was locked and undergoing renovation.

“They also realised the premises did not belong to the company they booked with, but someone else. Unfortunately he realised he was scammed and had to make alternative arrangements for accommodation” Naicker added.
