Eastern Cape police have warned people regarding ink stained bank notes that are in circulation.

This is after an ATM was bombed in Mthatha on Wednesday and the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Eastern Cape police are still on a manhunt for the suspects.

Brigadier Marinda Mills said all these money notes have been stained with navy blue ink.  So we are warning the public that if they do see these notes being used they should not accept it.

Mills said these notes are invalid and anyone with information should contact our investigating officer Captain Bongani Mtirara on 079 8900 763.
