The Department of Small Businesses will begin rolling out the Red Tape Reduction programme and this move has been welcomed by Western Cape MEC of Economic Opportunities Alan Winde.

MEC Winde said the Red Tape team is changing the brand of the province by sending a clear message that in this province, we are making it easier for businesses to do business.

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronwynne Jooste said since 2011 we’ve dealt with 2000 cases and the unit has a resolution rate 80%.

"The red tape unit in the Western Cape has done an excellent job of creating more jobs for our residents and changing the way we do business here in the Western Cape” Jooste added.
