Lusanda Bill
16 January 2015

The Organisation the Public Transport Voice is calling on the Minister of Transport Dipuo Peters to urgently intervene in the problems at the Passenger rail Agency of South Africa and Metrorail.

During the arrival on Wednesday of one of four batches of locomotives into the country Minister Peters said government is committed to changing decades of underinvestment in railway infrastructure.

PTV’s Zingisani Nkanjeni said we have been trying to have a meeting with the national chairperson of the portfolio committee on transport to address certain issues, regarding delays and financial mismanagement.

Nkanjeni said we want a concrete plan in terms of curbing road deaths especially now as we will be heading to the Easter Holidays.
