The suspects were arrested on Thursday last
week by an off-duty police official in Kraaifontein.
Captain FC van Wyk said according to
information the off duty constable was at home when he heard shots being fired
outside his home.
Van Wyk said when the police officer went
outside two suspects were running away both with firearms in their hands. Her
chased them and arrested the two young men.
“Both of them were in possession of
firearms which were later found to have been stolen from Kraaifontein and
Kleinveli” Van Wyk added.
