Two suspects aged 36 and 39-years-old have been arrested inside the Kruger National Park for smuggling of Rhino horns and explosives.

The arrest comes after a high level investigation of a syndicate of rhino horn smuggling through the park. The two are expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said we will be looking at the suspects for some time and we believe there are more who are involved in this issue.

Mulaudzi said so far we have managed to lead them to other serious cases in Mpumalanga as well as in the Eastern Cape.
Mulaudzi said we are still busy with investigations and we can also confirm the fact that the two were out on bail on other serious charges as well.

"Tomorrow they are going to Parabola Magistrate court where we will make sure that they remain in custody within our investigation" Mulaudzi added.
