29-year-old arrested for drug trafficking in Woodstock

A 29-year-old woman was arrested last night in Woodstock for dealing in drugs. 

The arrest follows an investigation by the Cape Town Cluster Crime prevention unit who followed up on information regarding drug trafficking activities taking place at a premise in Woodstock.

Sergeant Hilton Malila said upon member’s arrival at an informal settlement situated in Wright Street, they searched one of the shacks on the premises and confiscated 53 units of tik with an estimated street value of R 10 000

Malila said a 29 year old woman was arrested for dealing in drugs.

“She is currently in police custody and will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court tomorrow and face chargers of dealing in drugs” Malila added.
