Western Cape police arrested a 44-year-old suspect for being in possession of stolen goods in Khayelitsha.

It is believed that police were conducting routine operations when they came across a white delivery truck offloading boxes inside a house in the area.

Five suspects were busy offload but when they saw the police they fled which resulted in the owner of the house being arrested.

Colonel Thembinkosi Kinana said: “The estimated value of the items recovered is 3.5 million, it was later realized that the delivery truck was earlier hijacked in Phillipi around Nyanga.”

“They are expected to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court.” Kinana continued.
