An accident which involved two taxis has left twenty-five people injured

An accident which involved two taxis has left twenty-five people injured in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal this morning.

It is believed that the two taxis collided into each other.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said: “ER24 paramedics along with other services arrived on the scene and found the two taxis in the centre of the road, some of the occupants of both of the taxis were found walking around on the scene.”

Meiring said: “One inspection paramedics discovered that 25 people have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. One of the moderately injured patients was found trapped in the front of one of the taxis.”

“Rescue services had to use the Jaws of Life to free the patient. Paramedics treated all the patients on scene and transported them to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.” Meiring continued.
